Sited at Tsona in South Tibet, the monastery of Bomdila is an imitation of the Tsona Gontse Monastery. The prior prayer hall of the monastery was later added by the 13th reincarnate of Tsona Gontse Rinpoche. Since 1965, the monastery has been considered as the famous and most visited objective for the Buddhists along with the casual travelers.




Bomdila Monastery is also festooned with a temple of Lord Buddha and residential quarters for the monks. The main prayer hall was blessed by His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama, in October 1997. Better known as the Gentse Gaden Rabgyel Lling Monastery, the Bomdila is the most imperative locale of the Lamaistic faith of Mahayana Buddhism. This pilgrimage magnetism divinely utters the glory of Buddhism in Arunachal Pradesh.

By Air
The nearest airports is at Guwahati and Tezpur in Assam, which serves frequent and regular flight to all the major places of India.
